Our new favorite Mexican place!
$1 taco Tuesday and bomb breakfast burritos!!!
We started coming here after Cosmos good changed, and feel like it's not the best but it's pretty good for something quick and tasty! -

Avoid coming to this place customer service is horrible . I places a phone order to pick up asada fries i clearly said 3 times no sour cream they said my order will be ready in 15 mins .
When I arrived to the place I checked my order and it had sour cream I was like no biggie swap it out I'll wait . 2 mins later new order was ready didn't think much about them having it ready in 2 mins even though my phone order took 15 mins .
When I get back to my place I begin to eat and i bite into a hard raw potatoe they clearly dumped the fries in and pulled them out to get me out of their place quickly I was in no rush .
I called back and told them the problem they said they would replace it with no problem my schedule was so busy that I didn't go back right away took me a and a half to finally go back .
The lady Laura that is at the front register removers my order clearly because she remembers the issue . She couldn't replace or given me a new order because I waited to long .. Sucks for them cause I work down the street and I was going to be a recurring client that they now lost I will much rather go to another location with authentic Mexican food . -

Getting one star for crappy , cashier service ! Made me wait while she was texting. After she finished on her cell , she was ready to take my order ... really ? When I asked her about breakfast burrito she snapped with attitude. Walked out. I hope the owner of this place seriously reads this. First impression is everything , doesn't matter how good your food is. A warm smile and friendly service is important if you want my dollar. Good Luck !

Decent little hidden Mexican food spot in San Dimas very close to the La Verne border. Tried it for the first time today. I had a burrito (grilled chicken w/ rice and beans). The grilled chicken itself had a very good marinaded taste to it and both rice and beans were good also but not amazing. The large flour tortilla itself was a typical/generic Mexican restaurant flour tortilla.
Chile Bandido has a small self-service area with complimentary pinto beans, grilled Poblano peppers, sliced radishes, and about four different self-service salsa's. I tried the green and the spicy red salsa. Both were very good. I always appreciate Mexican restaurants that offer a variety of self-service salsa's.
I hope they will be successful. The lady working the counter had zero personality and it was 12:30pm (lunch hour) on a Friday afternoon with only one table of people eating. That's just not good. Should be much more crowded considering the day and time it was. And seriously, the lady at the counter needs some people skills and should at least "attempt" to communicate and be friendly with customers. Commonsense says...communicate/interact with your customers.
Old, out dated looking strip mall needing a facelift. You drive past it without even noticing it's there. I'm sure all the other businesses would also benefit if the strip mall was updated from it's old and tired looking appearance.
Don't let the condition of the strip mall stop you from experiencing Chile Bandido though. The food (or at least the burrito and salsa's) today was decent.
I will say this.... unfortunately, Chile Bandido has an "Alberto's" vibe to it. Suspiciously similar. I'm not a fan of Alberto's (everything Alberto's makes is not real. Food/sauces comes directly out of a can or is already cooked and reheated in a microwave oven). Not saying that's the case here at Chile Bandido, but I'm thinking it might be possible. It does have that vibe to it. -
